Day 184 April 20, 2002
Saturdays me and Laurie make a lot of progress. We built and installed the exterior trim for the top window in
the loft.
Then we installed a piece of T+G onto the underside of the outlookers against the cabin forming the beginnings
of the soffit. Next we cut log siding to the correct angle to match the soffit ( I made a little jig for repeatability.
Norm would be proud!) and nailed it on. We added more courses as we went up. I caulked around the window trim and where
the siding meets the T+G.
We were briefly interrupted by a shower, so we tarped everything and built a big 'ole brush fire. We burned a few
piles until the rain stopped, then we resumed log siding. After dark we headed off to Cobbler's for dinner and to the
cinema to see "Murder by Number".
9 hours, cloudy with drizzle around 67.
