Bill's cabin. Click to take a tour!

Welcome to my Cabin Journal. From August 2001 to October 2002 I took a sabbatical from my career as a master automotive technician and built a log cabin in the Catskills of New York. I had always dreamt of having my own place in the woods where I could relax and commune with nature. During construction, I lived in a 16' camper and kept this journal. "Blogs" did not exist at the time. Though I did nearly all of the work myself, my better half Laurie helped on the weekends. I could not have done it without her.
