Woke up early, around 7:30. Ate breakfast and worked on the web site. Today's plan is: guess what? DIG! OK I will. 99% with the machine and the rest pick axe. I have four corners defined and three and a half footing trenches. I won't finish the last footing trench until I figure out how to get the machine in and out of the hole without a ramp. By the way, have you ever slid a 15,500 pound machine sideways down a hill? I highly recommend it. Makes you feel alive. I took this picture to let you guess how many trips it took to remove this pile from the hole. What do you think?

My hole is really shaping up. Not something you hear people say much, but hey I'm proud of it.

Tomorrow Laurie is coming. Yeah! We will build footing forms. No doubt she will be thrilled with my hole also.
