Day 239 August 7, 2002

I continued working on the hearth. Mix mortar, trowel it on the backer board, stick the appropriate stone on and repeat. I'm using small batches of mortar, mixed with extra Portland cement for greater strength. When I get a few up, I add some mortar between them. I finished up pretty late.

12 hours, sunny and warmer.
