Day 70 Monday October 10, 2001
Awesome day today. 70 degrees, and we got a lot done. The pictures don't really show much, but we finished course
14, cut and placed 5 loft joists and got a lot of layout of the interior walls done. Laurie and I spent a few hours
deciphering the blueprints which never seem to be detailed enough. We needed to do that because the loft floor joists
meet up with a 8x12x6 beam which rests on two interior walls. Everything must be in the right place. So far its
looking great. Once all the loft joists are in place I can put up the 15th course, which is the last course on the
main house. The gable end has 32 courses, but the wall is mostly windows. Tip of the day: don't get the power cord
of your circular saw near the blade. It cuts rubber and copper just as well as wood.
12 hours, sunny around 70.
