Day 126 December 13, 2001 Thursday

I finished installing the service entrance cable into the house and mounted and wired in the main panel. I installed and wired a general purpose 20 amp GFI receptacle (outlet) in the basement.

I went back out into the mud pit and hooked up the wires to the panel on the pole. This 4 ought cable is very difficult to work with. Extreme caution is used because you don't want to bump into the service wires or their contacts to the main disconnect as they are still live and will kill you and never so much as miss a beat. I now have electricity in the cabin. I celebrate by starting on the plumbing rough in and installing the water heater.

I ran the electric circuit to the well pump. I have running water! Its only in the basement, but its all mine. No more bottled water.
