Day 153 February 12, 2002
Shopping day today. I got some money so naturally I had to spend it ASAP. I was on the road by 8. I drove to the
Middletown Home Depot and got more wire, clamps, smoke detectors, receptacles (outlets), switches, switch boxes, 30
weight ball bearings, blah, blah, blah. Ka-ching! The Home Depot was a mess, they were doing inventory. Can you
imagine counting all that stuff? They were counting individual hose clamps! Back at the ranch I cut and sanded
the last 4 stair risers and put on the third coat of mud in the bathroom. I hate drywall! When I was planning
this cabin I said I wouldn't use any drywall, I would use tongue and groove pine instead. Well, that's a great
theory but the reality is its just too expensive for the walls. So I tape and mud drywall.
On a personal note, I would like to say "goodbye" Michelle. You fought a tremendous fight. Rest in peace,
conscience clear and pain free.
12 hours.
