Day 226 June 24, 2002
Ahhh, a nice lazy day in the hills. Well I didn't just sit around all day. I moved some long logs to a
pile where they will probably spend a few years before I need them for firewood. I finished staining the fascia
boards that I didn't stain before because I couldn't reach them. I finally figured out a way to reach them
comfortably. I put the bucket of The Big Yellow One all the way up and leaned the 28' extension ladder up against
the bucket. This got me far enough away from the house and high enough to reach the fascia. The ladder fits perfectly
between the hooks on the bucket and the boom arm, making it nice and stable. I also finished grading around the house
and smoothed out the last of the piles of fill. I cleaned out the shed, organizing and throwing out stuff I'm not
going to need. I also took a trip to Mamakating Town Court to drop off a trail brief for Wednesday's court date.
The court clerk said the judge probably won't read it. Great.
8 hours, sunny and warm around 80.
Days until court: 2
