Day 241 August 9, 2002

I spent the day stapling 4 mil poly vapor barrier over much of the ceiling. I caulked the vapor barrier to the top of the top log, theoretically forming an air tight seal from inside to outside. This will keep humidity inside the house from people cooking and bathing (I like long showers - it's where I do the heavy thinking) from getting in the insulation and fouling things up. Also, it will help to keep small critters from coming inside where they will meet up with Laurie, be smashed with a shoe and flushed down the toilet. Twice.

When I had done all I could reach, I installed the first 2 courses of T+G on the gable wall. I put these on now because they needed to have three openings cut in them for the outlets. Some careful measuring and they went up no problem. I cleaned up and went for a spin on my ATV. Yahooo!
