Day 37, Friday September 7, 2001

I got up early, I have to go shopping today. Laurie's birthday is Sunday and I have to find a cashmere cardigan that she wants. She probably thinks I forgot because she mentioned wanting one a while ago. I hope I surprise her because I was listening. That didn't come out exactly right, but you get the idea. I head to Middletown. I will hit the Home Depot while I'm there for foundation drain pipes, a mason's hammer and some other various goodies. Got the sweater I wanted and a funny card. Back to camp and lay some block. Its hot. The mortar dries up quickly. I lay about 50 blocks, finishing around 9:30. The blocks are going well, it is a slow process. Laurie is due tonight, and maybe Butchie tomorrow. I can sure use the help. I spoke with my dad and he is coming out second week of October. I hope Damien can come out too.
